Mexico: Diagnosis on the Functioning of the Mechanism for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Journalists

In 2019, the Office in Mexico of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR) carried out a diagnostic study at the request of the Ministry of the Interior (SEGOB) on the functioning of the Protection Mechanism for Human Rights Defenders and Journalists (Mechanism), which identifies strengths, good practices and areas of opportunity to guide an inter-institutional strengthening process.
