In 2021, Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) published a practical guide for the elaboration of risk mitigation for human rights defenders by governments and civil society. It aims to provide useful tools for the effective protection of human rights defenders and includes a compilation of lessons learned and good practices concerning the implementation of public policies. The challenges, good practices and recommendations listed in the document are based on data from the IACHR, international institutions and state mechanisms.
